WHAT DOES OFFICIUM MEAN?
OFFICIUM IS LATIN FOR “SENSE OF DUTY, SERVICE OR COURTESY”
Our name manifests itself in a couple of different ways.
We are a Veteran and Minority owned business.
Our primary duty to humankind is to help every individual regardless of age, race, religion, political views, socio-economic background, experience level, or fitness level achieve their goals with the same level of love, respect, and dedication.
All are welcome and present in our community.
Our secondary duty is to express ourselves and define our growth not just by the number of individuals in our community but also by our corporate citizenship and our responsibility to support those in need in and around our community via different fundraising initiatives. Officium is the all-time leading fundraiser for OutReach and Wheeler Mission through the Strength In Our Streets competition raising over $83,016 dollars since 2017. Additionally in 2021 we raised over $1200 to support veterans through the Catch-A-Lift Foundation as well as nearly $500 for Freedom Service Dogs of America.
Helping others is not a selling point. It’s a mission.
Strength In Our Streets® is a team fitness competition benefiting Wheeler Mission. Teams of 10 (5 men/5 women) will compete during this one-day event on Saturday, October 10, 2020 with gyms from throughout Indiana and neighboring states. All proceeds help men, women, and children who are experiencing life-threatening issues like homelessness, poverty, hunger, and addiction.
