We will start a 6-week program on June 12th. We will train 5 days a week Mon.-Fri. The focus of the program is strength, speed, and flexibility. Our kids need to get stronger before they can get faster. So, Mon./Wed./Fri. are our strength days, and Tues/Thurs. are speed and agility workouts. We will do testing periodically throughout the summer to track our progress.
This is not a "run 'em 'till they puke" conditioning session. The focus is on functional strength and athletic movement. The workouts are challenging but the kids have a lot of fun as well. This is a program that I have developed throughout my 16 years as a middle and elementary school P.E. teacher/football coach, and training young athletes over the past 4 summers. The program is not specific to any one sport. It is intended to build general athleticism for young athletes.
